Gli Sly sono concepiti per un armatore che voglia trarre il massimo divertimento dalla sua barca senza eccessivi affaticamenti, sia in crociera che in regata. La scelta del gennaker e del bompresso in carbonio a scomparsa facilita di molto la gestione delle vele soprattutto con equipaggio ridotto. Il gennaker richiede meno attrezzatura e solo due scotte per le manovre, che sugli Sly sono tutte rinviate sottocoperta. Con pochissimo sforzo e in pochissimo tempo è possibile estrarlo dalla calza e montarlo. Il risultato è una coperta molto pulita, secondo la filosofia di Sly Yachts. Così sia in crociera sia in regata, per un qualunque tipo di equipaggio, la strambata è più semplice. In ogni caso, qualora un equipaggio preferisca lo spinnaker, gli Sly sono predisposti di serie di tutti gli attacchi per lo spinnaker e il tangone (che può essere acquistato a parte).

Why do Sly Yachts encourage the gennaker solution?

Sly Yachts are conceived for owners, who like enjoying sailing without extreme efforts, both cruising and sailing. The choice of using the gennaker and the foldaway bowsprit in carbon, make easy the sails manoeuvring, especially in a reduced crew. The gennaker requires less gear and only two sheets (in the Sly they are all below deck). With a minimal effort and in a short time it is possible to take it out and place. The result is a cleaner deck, following the Sly concept. Then both cruising and racing, for any kind of crew, the gybe is easier. Anyway, if a crew prefers the spinnaker, Sly yachts are provided with all the connections for the spinnaker and the spinnaker pole (which can be bought apart).
